It was fascinating to us to watch the toddler chimp named George. He's just about Dylan's age.
He was running wild and slapping the glass trying to get all of the kids attention. He even started a game of peek-a-boo with a little girl! The adult chimps all sat on the ridge watching him tiredly. Seemingly, thankful that he was being entertained by someone else for the moment. He had bountiful energy and looked every single person in the eye.
Later that night as Dylan was climbing for the 1 millionth time onto my husband and we wondered...just when does the similarity to the baby chimp end?
