Dylan's use of vocabulary amazes me but what I've always found fascinating about my offspring is his ability to to relate and infer. His ability to make mental connections and understand abstract concepts is something I just wasn't prepared for this early.
The very first time he impressed me with this was over a year ago when he bit a cheerio in half and held it up and said..."Moon!"
And just recently as we were driving down our pine tree lined driveway he said "Like the a tunnel mommy, only with trees!" ( referring to the tunnel we drive through everyday to KY).
Because of his affinity for these sort of connections, we've been able to explain to him complex processes like photosynthesis! The seasons! And homelessness! And he's ONLY 2.5!
Now that he has firmly established the concept of "WHY?" we delve into all sortsof deep issues.
