Grow-ING

This young man is just a day shy of being 3 years and 9 months.

I am flabbergasted at the notion that he will soon be FOUR.

Four is infinitely older than THREE but seems just minutes away from being FIVE.

Four is getting dressed all by himself.

Playing alone in his room with his toys, his imagination taking over.

Asking for privacy when he's in the restroom.

Four is saying thing like..."mommy this drawing is SIMILAR to the one I drew yesterday" SIMILAR!

Four is asking to read his MAGAZINES before bed and asking questions about what each food does for his body to make him healthy or wanting to know why the dinosaurs are "EXTINCT."

Four is being responsible enough to sweep his room for tiny choking hazards for Julia without being asked and keeping his breakable toys out of her path.

But four is NOT too big to "Nuggle" every evening before bed, or be scared of the idea of a whirlpool swallowing you up on the ocean. 

And four it certainly isn't too old to be considered my baby boy...er...neither is five.
