The Fam

One of the most amazing parts of this journey through medical school in the south has been that we are constantly surrounded by family. While we have missed our friends dearly, moving our children closer to their grandparents has meant that holidays, birthdays and normal days are punctuated by Mom Mom singing and snuggling and Nana playing cars and holding hands.

It means that Pa can explain to Dylan what it was like to be a police officer and Pop can ask Dylan's advice on his outfits before work.

These are the memories that childhoods are made of and I wouldn't have traded a single year of these challenging years for those blessings.

When we are not with one set of grandparents we are most likely with the other and it warms my heart to know how LOVED my kids are by all four grandparents.

  1. And I am sure the family is thrilled to have had these precious years with you and the kiddies. As we know, these times are fleeting.
