Could Have..

I would love to post today about all the things we COULD have done this weekend if our entire family had not been recovering from the second coming of the plague.

We COULD have gone to "Breakfast with Santa" at the library. We would have toasted OJ with the locals and sat on the jolly man's lap, wishing for things like a new job for mommy, a nordstrom to move in town and a Houston's to accompany it.

We COULD have gone to the "holiday spectacular" at the knoxville convention center. Free crafts, toys and fun for the wee ones and overpriced homemade christmas decorations, fattening confections and chaos for the parents.

We COULD have braved x-mas shopping at the middlesboro mall. There's even a JC Penney there.

But instead...

Dylan and mommy went to Walmart for eggs, milk, and "Melmo Slippers".

Daddy studied his butt off because missing a week of medical school is pretty much like missing an entire semester of undergrad.

And the highlight is that Dylan ate his first chicken nugget. Sure it was a wheat-flour-flax seed coated breast chunk, but he didn't mind.

He even dipped it in ketchup.
