There is always a reason

Journaling is as vital for me as water. Reflection on my life with the written word... keeps me grounded.

I've kept a journal since I was 11.

My sister Shannon gave me a fabric covered book and a bright pink pen for my 6th Grade Graduation and I have never looked back. I've filled book after book with the ramblings of a child, teenager and adult. Re-reading their pages is simultaneously enlightening and depressing. You see how far you have come but you also see the themes that have weighed you down your entire life.

In the age of blogs and websites, journaling has taken on an entirely different concept. People can post publicly what they might never have done so before.

But it also offers us all the opportunity to TRULY reflect.

This is one of my favorites.
