October. Southern Style.

Up north, when we lived in the "Halloween Capitol of the World" , October was a big deal. It meant tourists, and hot apple cider, and getting the sweaters out. It meant road closings, haunted houses and throwing my annual costume party.

October down south is...different.

It means still wearing shorts and sweating most days. It means holding off on the sweaters and only dreaming of pumpkin spiced lattes. It means that some of the locals don't "believe" in Halloween.

But there are fun things too!

Like Pumpkin Carving!

Scooping wasn't his favorite part.

But smiling is!

Fall Festivals

Dylan's first ever ride alone.

Red Car.

Daddy almost didn't let it happen.

But he did so well ringing his
own little bell and yelling "All Aboard!"

It gave us confidence to try the other rides. 

Only this one didn't have seat belts
only a make-shift bungee cord harness. 

Just a LITTLE bit nerve wracking.

This kid was obviously upset that a 2 year old was driving.
