Pum-kin Path.

Apple picking and pumpkin picking are a right of childhood passage.

We took Dylan last year when he was barely one. Treking through the back country of the south. It was freezing, we found ourselves lost and we forgot to bring cash and wandered for HOURS looking for an ATM.

Like so much of infancy and toddler hood, I knew that the experience would simply melt away from his tiny little consciousness. But my hope, with everything I do for Dylan, is that his experiences shape who he becomes. The more he sees and the more he does will widen his horizons and that these little pumpkin seeds will be planted for years to come.

And so,  we did it again.

Learning from our past experience we found a closer pumpkin patch. We picked a warm day and brought CASH.

The only thing we didn't plan for was A LINE. I mean a Roloff Farm line.

But once we got through that it was smooth sailing.

Our little Pumpkin Picker was very introspective about picking the perfect pumpkin.

  1. I need Craig to explain to my how that pile of tires is safer than a bouncy house!
